Like so many times prior, a few friends and I set out for one of our wilderness trips into the backcountry of the Pacific Northwest. After years of spending countless amounts of my hard earned money on cheap equipment (that never lasted), and raising my brow at over-designed packs (while dropping my jaw at the price), I knew there had to be a better way.

So, naturally, I put my engineering degree and craftsmanship skills to work and handcrafted my own equipment optimized for comfort, purpose, lifetime durability, and budget.

Yep, budget. Because I'm not a millionaire, and this isn't a mega-cap conglomerate.

After a successful outing and a lot of inquiries from my friends asking if I could make my equipment for them, it only seemed natural to start a small company and pay it forward to like-minded outdoor enthusiasts.

My bushcraft packs, canvas bags and accessories are simplistic, yet heavy-duty pieces that are meticulously faithful to the American tradition. Thoughts of my grandparents, pioneers, explorers, trappers, and nomads are stitched into every piece of kit I build. When it came to durability, I took my inspiration from skyscraper and bridge designs for optimal strength using high-quality materials necessary for function and multi-generational use without ‘over-engineering’ areas that don’t require it.
