The 'Kangaroo' pouch offers storage for a wide assortment of smaller provisions that you'd want to keep from floating around in your main pack. With 1 liter of storage, you can get a lot (of a little) in there. It's an excellent pouch for a fire steel, char tins, fatwood shavings, smaller cordage, first aid supplies, and anything else you can fit in it.
 
If you're looking for some added organization and you need a few, get different colors and assign each color to a certain type of equipment contained within.
 
An optional canvas oil waxing service can be applied to waterproof the material. Wax is locally sourced from Portland, Ore.
